Mountain fast food

Ingredients

  • 400 g shaved reindeer
  • Game spice (or kebab spice)
  • 1 packet of salad mix or rocket
  • 1 cucumber in thin strips
  • 1 green apple in thin slices/batons
  • 1 pepper or cherry tomatoes
  • 3 spring onions
  • 150 g mushrooms
  • 1 packet of tortilla wraps or pitta bread
  • Oil for frying

Lingonberry soured cream

  • 2 dl soured cream
  • 1 dl lingonberry jam
  • A little salt and pepper

Equipment

  • Trekking stove/Primus/wood and matches for a campfire
  • Frying pan
  • Fish slice
  • Chopping board
  • Knife
  • Small cup/bowl for the lingonberry soured cream

How to do it

  1. Get the campfire going and let it burn for about 15 minutes.
  2. Make the lingonberry soured cream.
  3. Cut up the vegetables.
  4. Fry a little meat at a time over a good heat, season it and add the mushrooms.
  5. Put the meat on a wrap, add whatever vegetables you like and add plenty of lingonberry soured cream.

Tips

  • You can use pitta bread or lompe as a substitute for tortilla wraps.
  • A child-friendly version of this dish; bring the taco leftovers, heat them up and put them in the wraps.
