  • 1 kg berries
  • 250-500 g sugar

How to do it

  1. Pick berries.
  2. Clean and rinse the berries and put them in a pan.
  3. For firm berries such as lingonberries, add a little water.
  4. Bring the berries to a quick boil without sugar. Keep the lid on.
  5. Boil the berries until they are heated through and soft.
  6. Add the sugar and stir until it has dissolved.
  7. Bring the whole thing to the boil.
  8. Skim off the foam and pour the jam into clean, warm jars.
  9. Fill the jars right up, put the lids on and turn the jars upside down until they have cooled.

The jam can be kept in a cold cellar or similar.

Pick berries, ideally different sorts, into a plastic bag. Add sugar and squeeze the bag gently until it turns into jam.
