Reuse & Rights

Reuse and rights

Use in schools

All content on Snuitide may be used freely for teaching and learning in the school sector. This applies to both Norwegian and international schools, at every level from primary school to higher education. Teachers and pupils may copy, share, print and adapt text, images and video for educational use.

We appreciate it when the source is credited (Snuitide.no) when you share or publish further, but it is not a formal requirement for school use.

Other use

For use outside the school sector — commercial use, editorial publishing, reuse on other websites or in other products — the rights are reserved. This means you must obtain permission before using the content.

Get in touch at hei@snuitide.no and we will find a solution. We tend to be accommodating, but we would like to know where and how the content will be used.

Content from NDLA

Some of the content on Snuitide is taken from NDLA (the Norwegian Digital Learning Arena). NDLA content is published under CC BY-SA, an open licence that gives everyone the right to use and adapt the content — including outside school — as long as the author and source are credited.

When Snuitide uses NDLA content, it is marked with author, source and link. The open NDLA licence still applies to the original NDLA material, regardless of Snuitide's own terms.

'Restricted reuse'

Content marked 'restricted reuse' may not be copied, shared or altered without permission from the author — not even in a school setting. You must contact the author directly.

Note: you are still permitted to link to and quote short extracts from such content without asking, as long as it is clear that the material is being quoted.
