Dam

Map symbol explanation: Dams are marked with a thick black line. The name of larger dams also appears in black text. Note that some dams are difficult to cross. So check whether you need to cross a dam on the trip you are planning. This is particularly relevant in Vestlandet (Western Norway), where there are many regulated lakes.
