Tags: Weeds and herbs Description: The plant is found throughout the country and flowers from June to September. It thrives best in soil with a high nitrogen content. It is therefore widespread near old buildings, waste sites, woodland edges and roads. Stinging nettle is usually between 30 and 130 cm tall. Use: It can be used much like spinach. You can eat it raw, but you should crush or chop it so that the juice neutralises the stinging hairs. You can also add it to soups and stews (iron, silicon, antioxidant).
