Tags: Foraging, Weeds and herbs Description: Glasswort is a small plant, only 5–10 cm tall. It looks like a miniature cactus with small, spreading branches that point upwards. The whole plant is fleshy just like a cactus, and therefore tolerates drying out. The colour is green or reddish. The flowers are almost impossible to see. Use: Glasswort is good to eat raw. Since it grows in places much affected by salt water, it tastes salty and adds good seasoning to a salad. Habitat type: Coast Edible: Yes Written by: Lærke Stewart
