Theme for the activity: • practising walking on snowshoes (traditional) on a trip • experiencing the possibilities and limitations snowshoes give us on snow FLL1 competence aims: • explore and carry out activities and trips in the local area in the different seasons • use first aid and life-saving skills in connection with friluftsliv (the Norwegian tradition of simple open-air life) • travel safely and practise a friluftsliv that takes the natural world into account • cooperate in order to contribute to community, social experiences and mastery • reflect on what significance friluftsliv can have for the individual FLL2 competence aims: * plan and carry out activities and trips in the local area independently and together

  • plan, carry out and assess trips with several overnight stays in different natural environments and in the different seasons
  • understand the importance of an appropriate diet on trips and explore the possibilities the natural world gives us as a source of food
  • understand common weather signs and warnings the natural world gives, and take these into account
  • use equipment and tools in a sustainable way,
  • apply first aid and life-saving skills in connection with the friluftsliv the pupil practises
  • practise and reflect on sustainable travel in nature
  • plan, carry out and assess activities and trips as a veileder (a guide-facilitator who enables the group’s own learning) for a group
  • carry out and assess friluftsliv trips where a sense of mastery, experiences of nature and community are central Relevance to the subject / specifics: • trying a new and alternative means of travel on snow • exploring the terrain and where it is easiest to walk on snowshoes • planning and experiencing how one can set out on a snowshoe trip • planning and carrying out active route choices on a trip • reflecting on experiences of snowshoes as a means of travel • practising leave-no-trace travel (sporløs ferdsel) Type of trip: Day trip, Mountains, Local area, Overnight trip Season: Winter, Spring
