Cross-curricular topics: Public health and life skills In activity studies, the cross-curricular topic of public health and life skills is about promoting good physical, mental and social health. The subject shall help pupils develop an interest in, and experience the joys of, physical activity, sport and friluftsliv. The subject shall also help pupils experience mastery and develop a positive self-image. Through the subject, pupils shall acquire knowledge and experience that can help them maintain good health in the future.
Sustainable development In activity studies, the cross-curricular topic of sustainable development is about promoting a sustainable way of life through various activities, stays and trips in nature. Pupils develop a joy of nature, respect for nature and environmental awareness. VG1: - use tools, equipment, food and clothing in an appropriate and safe manner
- plan and carry out day programmes in which mastery of friluftsliv activities is central VG2: - develop and apply basic skills in friluftsliv in an appropriate and sustainable manner VG3: - reflect on how one’s own participation in friluftsliv matters for cooperation and community
- assess the benefit gained from trips and activities
